My friend is pregnant with baby #3 and we don’t know what it is yet. (first two were boys) I would reckon she has all the clothes needed for a small boy (if that’s what this one is) and I want to give her something with a small more feeling and imagination then a pack of diapers or a gift card. They’re my cousins and over the past years I haven’t really given
such fantastic gifts. I mean I try hard, but it’s mostly toys and clothes.
What’s something that they can keep forever (or more then a couple of years)
and it’s memorable? I can’t give toys because their parents (not all related) don’t want any more toys. I don’t want to give them DVDs, either (stuck in front of the TV all day) and music is okay but I really don’t like Kids Bop or Hannah Montana for the children. Of course for my baby boy cousin, I’ll give him a teddy bear or blanket (he doesn’t care, he’s pleased if you give him something to bang with)

Keep in mind, it can’t be pricey and it’ll be helpful if parents or people with the same experiences answered. (I was thinking of getting them a baby doll, I remember my first one(: but then they own like 20)

My brothers boss is going to have her baby soon. Money is really tight for her, her husband is going to have brain surgery after the baby is born. He already has a child, she’s either 4 or 5.
Anyway, this small girl is coming quickly and my brother wants to get her a gift. If it was a normal situation, I would go with some cute clothing. But I was just wondering what do you reckon?
My brother place me in charge of the baby gift. What can I say, he’s a 16 year ancient boy. Haha.
I want to keep it practical because money is tight. Any thoughts?

My neighbor gave me a gift for my baby girl that is due soon. I opened it in front of her and as I saw it was an outfit for a boy she said “For your new small boy!” I have told her several times that we were having a girl but she is older and speaks English very poorly and she must have been confused.

I didn’t know what to say so I just thanked her. I didn’t want to make her feel terrible because it was so nice of her to get us a gift. (I didn’t want to make her feel like she had to take it back. Besides, I can give it to a friend who has a boy…)

I am moving in a week and won’t likely see my neighbors again after the go. Should I have corrected her? Should I bring it up if we talk again before I go?
